EBFA CUP FINAL – THE PERFECT ENDing FOR OUR U18’s! 

In their final ever match, we are delighted to report that our U18’s won the EBFA Cup Final at Ascot United in what was the perfect send-off for the players and coaches.

In a tense, competitive final vs.  Woodley Wanderers, the boys showed real character to come back from a goal down to win the game 2-1 and lift the trophy in their final ever game for the Club! 

It was a perfect night for football. Under the lights at Ascot. With the ball fizzing off the 4G surface and watched by a large crowd, with supporters from Wargrave outnumbering Woodley and certainly quite a lot louder!  

With a number of the boys and the coaches having been together as a group since they started competitive football at U7’s, it was a brilliant way for coaches Andy and Laurence to also end their long-standing coaching careers with the club. 

We expect the celebrations went long into the night as all the boys, and Andy and Laurence, officially ‘completed’ grassroots football in style!
